AOCS is a proud member of the International Society for Fat Research (ISF). Representing national and regional fats and oils related organizations, ISF’s purpose is a) to bring about an international team of specialists engaged in the research on fat and fat products in the fields of general and agricultural chemistry, biology, food sciences, medicine, pharmacy, and technology; b) to encourage the advancement of the chemistry and technology of oils, fats, their constituents and compounds and all allied and associated products, and to promote research in these fields; c) to increase and disseminate chemical, biological, and technological knowledge by international meetings, discussions, publications, and other means; and d) to promote professional training. AOCS is one of the 23 member organizations currently represented by ISF.
jCanna is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of affiliates including cannabis industry insiders, scientists, medical doctors, policy makers and interested novices working together to advance awareness of legal, medicinal cannabis related topics. Our affiliates work to share insights and advance solutions to improve cannabis analytical testing technologies. Our meetings and roundtables include topics on sample preparation, chromatography, mass spectrometry, cannabinomics, terpene profiling, quality control testing for public safety, contamination analysis (pesticides, residual solvents, microorganisms and heavy metals), genetics/genomics, regulations, legalization, scientific methods/standards and medicinal uses of cannabis.
The Oils & Fats Specialist Group is a special interest group that keeps its members in touch with both industrial and academic developments in the oils and fats field in New Zealand by technical seminars, conferences and newsletters.
