Methods

Since the 1920s AOCS methods have been internationally recognized for trade, and several are listed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. Offered in several different formats, the Official Methods and Recommended Practices of the AOCS is essential for a lab testing edible fats and oils and similar compounds.

Temporary withdrawal: 7th Edition of the Official Methods and Recommended Practices of the AOCS
This notice serves to alert purchasers of the newly released 7th Edition of the Official Methods and Recommended Practices of the AOCS that we have identified typographical errors in a number of the methods. AOCS has decided to withdraw the 7th edition while these errors are corrected. Users are alerted that these errors are primarily in the Calculations sections. Until further notice, please refer to the 6th Edition. Please contact AOCS if you do not have the 6th Edition.
As soon as we have corrected the errors, the 7th Edition will be reprinted and released from the temporary restriction, and a copy will be forwarded to you.

If you need access to an individual method:
The 7th Edition of the Official Methods and Recommended Practices of the AOCS has been temporarily withdrawn while we correct typographical errors that have been identified. If your purchase was affected by these errors, we will forward you the revised version as soon as it becomes available. Until further notice, please refer to the 6th Edition.If you do not have the same method from the 6th Edition available, please contact AOCS.
